Jennifer Wilken

Design and curation have always been my calling, but community is what truly drives me.

Four years ago, I moved to St. Helena from Oakland, California. Transitioning from a bustling urban environment and leaving a close-knit group of friends left me searching for a sense of belonging. I found exactly what I was looking for at Act Two and La Bohème.

Working at these stores over the past four years completely connected me to this wonderful community. Now, I’m thrilled to be keeping both storefronts alive and thriving as we begin an exciting new chapter.

Our mission is simple: to offer beautiful, quality household items, art, jewelry, and more at prices that keep them accessible to everyone. We also believe businesses should lift up the people around them. Our partnership with the Parkinson’s Association of Northern California is deeply personal to me, and it marks the beginning of many more community-focused initiatives to come.

Thank you for being part of our journey—the best is yet to come.

Oria Goleno

Now that my six children are out of the nest, I’m pursuing my dream of supporting our local community in meaningful, lasting ways.

I’m honored to have partnered with Jennifer Wilken to form the Goleno-Wilken Foundation, benefiting the Parkinson’s Association of Northern California.

Through the stewardship of Act Two Thrift and La Bohème Resale, I want to continue the mission of those who came before us by helping our community in accessible and sustainable ways.

As one of Act Two’s general managers, my goal is to create a space where neighbors feel comfortable seeking assistance, shopping affordably, or donating items that can serve someone else.

Our mission

Resale with a purpose beyond the shop.

The Goleno-Wilken Foundation preserves and operates the historic Act Two and La Bohème resale shops as sustainable community resources. Their proceeds help provide affordable essentials and fund charitable programs for individuals and families throughout St. Helena, Napa Valley, and surrounding communities.

Our principal charitable commitment is advancing the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s disease, including support for the Parkinson’s Association of Northern California and innovative programs such as Sailing with Parkinson’s.
